Flight Training

We are always pleased to welcome newcomers to the hobby and can offer training facilities at both our Clifton and Stainland sites. We have three club instructors, one qualified to instruct to  A certificate level and two to B certificate  level. Training is on a one to one basis therefore appointments with the instructors are essential to ensure the trainer is present at the field. All the trainers are available most weekdays being retired persons.
Before buying any model or radio equipment it is advisable that you visit the club and check on the suitability of your choice, this will give you the best chance of successfully leaning to fly and continuing in the hobby. Most people leaving the hobby do so as a result of buying the wrong equipment and trying to learn to fly on their own.
All training is carried out with your own model and entirely at your own risk. The preferred training method entails the use of a "Buddy Lead" this is a lead that connect both the students and trainers transmitters allowing the the trainer to have full control of the model when needed.
Contact one of our trainers listed below who will be pleased to talk you through the first stages.
