1. The Brighouse Vintage Model Aircraft Club ( Herein after called the club) will be indemnified
against any accident.
2. The club will provide a safety officer at all events.
3 No fly zones will be specified on the day and failure to comply will result in the club taking immediate
steps to ground the flier.
4. Officials of the club will supervise all model fliers and indicate the take off and landing areas.
5. The officials of the club will supervise entry to and from the site.
6. Any spectators will be warned of the risks upon entering the site and will be advised of the safe viewing
areas.
7. While the club will make every endeavour to ensure flying site safety, casual observers will be expected
to take the advice of the safety officer, and stand in the designated safe areas.
8 All model flyers will be current members of the BMFA or guest flyers as defined in the BMFA
guidelines and will on demand be expected to provide proof of insurance.
9. To ensure none flying zones are not infringed, club officials will at all times monitor the flying area
boundaries.
10 The club will ensure that all model flying on the site
will be conducted in a safe and practised manner.
11.The club will ensure that all flying models will be mechanically sound before any flying commences.
12. The club will be responsible for the safety of those attending during the period the club occupies
the site.
13. No dry batteries will be allowed in aircraft or transmitters, only rechargeable types will be allowed.
14 No flying will be permitted if the surface wind speed exceeds 25 knots, or if the visibility is less than
500 metres.
15 Transmitter frequencies will be monitored prior to and during flights.
16. While it is reasonable to accept that the occasional model crash will take place, The club will take every
precaution to ensure the actual chances of such events occurring will be kept to a minimum.
